America Ferrera is all smiles at the 2008 ALMA Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday in Pasadena, Calif.
The 24-year-old Ugly Betty star took top honors at the ceremony, winning Chevy Entertainer of the Year for her on-screen work as Betty Suarez and her off-screen efforts to encourage young people to get involved in the political process.
The ABC comedy series also picked up wins for directing and best performance by a Latino-led ensemble cast. (more…)
