Ashley Judd attends the special thematic debate to focus global attention on human trafficking held by the UN General Assembly at New York City's United Nations on Tuesday.

The 40-year-old Hollywood beauty appeared on The Today Show on Tuesday and spoke about her recent three week humanitarian mission to Rwanda and the Congo. Ashley works for Youth Aids in the position of global ambassador.

At a news conference on Tuesday, she said, “I know that the unheard are helped when they are heard. I know that compassionate listening helps me, and my goal was to help the U.N. help them!”
