Fifteen hostages held by Colombian rebels -- including former Colombian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three Americans -- were rescued today, the country's defense minister said. Juan Manuel Santos said security forces infiltrated the FARC rebel group and tricked rebels into turning over the hostages to a military helicopter.
