Lee Grivas found dead in apartment, boyfriend of Christina Applegate

Lee Grivas, 26, boyfriend of Christina Applegate, was found dead in his Hollywood apartment.

Christina Applegate's “off and on” boyfriend Lee Grivas was found dead in his Hollywood apartment Tuesday by a neighbor.

That National Enquirer is reporting it was due to a heroin overdose.

An official cause of death is currently pending. The death was reported as a possible accident or suicide.

Lee Grivas was a fisherman, skateboarder, and aspiring photographer.

I am profoundly saddened,” Applegate said in a statement to Us Magazine, “Lee was an incredible human being who was an extremely important and beautiful part of my life.

“He is missed beyond words,” she added. “He touched so many and I feel much sadness for his mother, father, brother, and all of his family and friends.”

The 26-year-old's body was discovered by a neighbor and there were no visible signs of trauma, reports say.

“Christina really loved him,” a friend of Christina's relates, “He was a really nice guy but also very sad.”

Christina Applegate and Lee Grivas met when she was performing in the Broadway musical Sweet Charity.

A friend to Grivas said, “Lee also had a long history of drug problems, dating back to his teen years. Christina broke up with him a number of times because of his struggles with getting clean. She loved him, but couldn't stand by and watch him ruin his life.”

Applegate and Grivas re-united in April as a last-ditch effort for him to get sober.

“Christina loved Lee dearly and even dreamed of starting a family with him,” told The National Enquirer.

“Unfortunately, Lee's battle with drugs got the better of him. Christina is still in complete shock. He was just so young!”

Christina Applegate, 36, and Grivas were not dating at the time of his death.
